The crucial thing to enjoy travelling is to have an awesome travel partner. What can beat travelling as a couple? To be frank, Nothing. This is exactly what this Couple do – they both love nature and they love each other’s company so much! As they travel to many places, they capture those wonderful moments as photographs.

About Raghav:
Raghav
Raghav is a Businessman by Profession, Wildlife and Nature photographer by Passion. Being born and bought up in Bengaluru, Raghav has seen the good old charming and beautiful Bengaluru of the 90’s. Raghav says,
“I guess my love for wildlife and Nature started right from my school days, when we bought our color television and I was immersed in the world of National Geographic, Animal planet and Discovery channel”.
“I still remember how I was glued to the television just watching all the animal documentaries and always wanted to see all of them in real”, he added. Raghav believes that is what ignited the passion in himself to capture and photograph the wild and to fall in love with the wilderness out there.
About Usha:
Usha Raghav
Usha is a Software Engineer by profession who loves travelling. She narrates the story behind her love for nature and travel in her own words. I remember the day I fell in love with nature. It was our first anniversary and after lot of research, we decided to go to River Tern Bhadra . This was our first time to a jungle resort . Usha says,
The moment we stepped into our room which had the view of backwaters , I realized we have such surreal place in our Karnataka itself . That was when I actually fell in love with travel and nature.
From that time on, every time we plan to travel not to a far off exotic destination but to places which was closer to home. It is theses places which actually inspired me to click; I was never into photography but then there are these amazing places which make you capture them such that the experience stays with you forever, she added.
Raghav and Usha
Usha and Raghav know each other for past 12 years. They both were very good friends even before they get married and obviously they continue to be good friends even after marriage. As they stay in Mysuru, all the beautiful places like kabini, bandipur, nagarahole, dubare, coorg are near by to them. They used to travel most of the weekends and used to get mesmerized by the flora and fauna in these beautiful places. In the beginning they have used sony digital camera to capture the beautiful moments and now they own a NikonD3300.
A Small Meeting
Raghav says, “If our passion for photography, travel and wildlife is what it is today, then i have to thank Usha for that, because she is the one who gifted me the Nikon D3300 few years back”. Though she was not as enthusiastic as I was in photography, gradually all that changed and she too started photography. I like the way she captures the landscapes and the wildlife moments, he added.

Both Usha and Raghav pose great qualities when it comes to respect for nature which is a great example for many. This is what they want to say –
“We both believe that the nature always has surprises kept ready for us. We need to respect and enjoy each and every moment that nature gives to us and only that makes the journey to photography so beautiful. For us, it is not always about zoom, click and shoot, what we always want to capture is the subject with the habitat as much as possible, because we believe the habitat and subject together tells a much better story with emotions”
In Love with the Sky
I asked them what would be their advice to other travelers and this is what they have said:
“It’s a beautiful world out there, travel and explore the raw beauty of Nature”. Go anywhere and everywhere without expectations, because the nature surprises you with its beauty and mysteries like no other.
