India is termed as Incredible India because of the vast diversity in terms of places, culture, people and also a major contribution by the Indian Wildlife.
Karnataka has a lot of wildlife parks – Biligiri Ranga Hills (BR Hills), Kokkare Bellur Bird Sanctuary, Ranganathittu Bird Sanctuary, K.Gudi, Kabini (Nagarhole National Park) (Rajiv Gandhi National Park), Bandipur National Park, Dubare Elephant Camp, Dandeli Wildlife Sanctuary, Bhadra Wildife Sanctuary, as well as Bannerghatta nature camp (wildlife not in wild), Mysore zoo (Wildlife not in wild), Bheemeshwari and Galibore.
I have visited all of these wildlife places multiple times and you can see wildlife pictures here and travelogue here. Out of all the wildlife destinations, the top 5 evergreen wildlife parks in no particular order are:
- Kabini (Nagarhole) – this is an exciting destination all year around. Tiger, Leopard and Black Panther are the top favorites.
- Bandipur National Park – late Tiger prince was the sensation from Bandipur. Tigers are the specialty from Bandipur.
- Bhadra Wildlife Sanctuary – though the big cat sightings are less here. Just the gorgeous jungle is good enough to visit Bhadra.
- Dandeli Wildlife Sanctuary – Dandeli has a good population of Black Panther but you have to really lucky to spot one.
- K.Gudi – My personal favorite jungle for the very reason the stay is right in the middle of the jungle and K.Gudi jungle outlook cannot be matched even by Kabini.
